SC SEMBENELLI CONSULTING s.r.l. thanks to his President Pietro Groppo Sembenelli and his key personnel, is being engaged long since in the design of hydropower plants and pumped storage plants.

P.G. Sembenelli has been personally involved in the construction of more than 15 large hydropower plants projects world-wide (among which: Itaipu, Inga and Mantaro) and has been responsible for the 1800 MW Kalayaan pumped storage plant conceptual, feasibility and contract design.

SC SEMBENELLI CONSULTING s.r.l.'s President has been member of the advisory and Safety Review Boards of the Xiaolangdi and Jiangya the large hydro projects built in China.

The latest assignments in the field of hydropower plants concern the design of Shenxigou (medium head) in Sichuan (P.R.China) Yguazu (low head) in Paraguay, Matiltan (high head) in Pakistan and Ponte de Pedra (medium head) in Brazil. Most of the above assignments were in a BOT (Built, Operate and Transfer) or EPC (Engineer, Procure and Construct) frame executed on behalf of International Public Utility, Financial Institutions and Contractors.
