SSC SEMBENELLI CONSULTING s.r.l. through his president Pietro Groppo Sembenelli and key personnel, has been long since involved in the design of hydropower plants and of pumped storage plants.

P.G. Sembenelli has been personally involved in more than 15 large hydro projects world-wide (among which: Itaipu, Inga and Mantaro) and has been responsible for conceptual, feasibility and contract design of the 1800 MW Kalayaan pumped storage plant.

SC SEMBENELLI CONSULTING s.r.l. seats in the advisory and Safety Review Boards of large hydro projects now under construction like Xiaolangdi and Jiangya.

Recent assignments in the field of hydropower plants were the design of Shenxigou medium head in Sichuan (P.R.China) Yguazu low head in Paraguay, Matiltan high head in Pakistan and Ponte de Pedra medium head in Brazil. Most of the above assignments were in a BOT (built, operate and transfer) or EPC (engineer, procure and construct) frame, for international Utility Companies, financial Institutions and Contractors.
